Anna University November/ December exam 2018 hall tickets: Anna University is expected to release the admit card for the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD examination to be conducted in November and December 2018 by October 31. All the candidates who will appear for the examination can download the admit card through the official website, coe1.annauniv.edu.
To download the Anna University admit cards, the candidates have to visit the official website and click on the relevant link. They will then have to enter their registration number, date of birth and other details in the box provided. The admit card will appear on the screen. Remember to carry the hall ticket to the exam centre.

Step 2: On the homepage, enter your user ID and password
Step 3: Click on the login
Step 4: Download a copy of the admit card and take a print out of the same for further reference.
The university recently announced the revaluation results of undergraduate examinations that were held in the month of April and May. The result of the main exam was released in July, after which students applied for revaluation.

Renowned physician Dr Devi Prasad Shetty has been appointed as the new chairman of Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore).


Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) has appointed Devi Prasad Shetty as its new chairman. The decision was taken by the Board of Governors of IIM Bangalore, at its 167th meeting held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
The term of office of the Chairperson, Board of Governors is four years from October 22, 2018, when Dr Shetty assumes office. “It is a matter of immense happiness that one of the most well-known and respected persons in the field of medicine and in the business of hospital management, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, is IIMB’s Chairperson,” said Professor G. Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore.
Dr Devi Shetty said, “Surgeons are like artists and we approach the world through feel, touch and instinct. However, the world of business is more complicated than an open chest, and only the devotees of technology who can synthesise multiple data points will be able to make good decisions. The companies of the future will invest more into digital assets than bricks or mortar and their managers will have to supervise bots, not humans. So, the management curriculum must evolve to cope with a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

CBSE registration process for examinations has been extended


The registration process for CBSE Class 9, 11 examinations has been extended till October 30, which was scheduled to close on Monday, October 22.


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the registration process for Class 9, 11 regular students till October 30  for the academic session 2018-19. The online registration process was started from October 1 and was scheduled to close on Monday, October 22. The affiliated schools should register themselves before proceeding for online registration at the official website, cbse.nic.in.
As per the release, the schools have been advised to offer subjects permitted by the board, else CBSE may take action against the school which lead to cancellation of candidature of such students.
Is ‘Aadhaar’ necessary to apply
According to CBSE, the ‘Aadhaar number’ is not required for online registration. The Aadhaar number field has been provided, however, the students not in possession of the same may enter wither their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other government valid identity
In respect of foreign nationals, passport number can be provided. If passport number is not available, Social Security Number/ID Number issued by that Foreign Country may be mentioned
Application fee
The students have to pay an application fee of Rs 150, however, the students with disabilities will get exemptions. The last date to submit online application fee is October 22. Candidates can submit application fee till October 30 with a late fee of Rs 500, Rs 1000, Rs 2000 and Rs 5000 for registration from October 31 to November 12, November 13 to November 20 and November 21 to November 28, respectively.

IGNOU B.Ed programme January 2019 session application process begins

The admission to B.Ed programme is on the basis of an entrance test to be conducted in December 2018. The date for the same will be announced shortly. The last date to submit the application form is November 15.



Indira Gandhi National Open University has announced the B.Ed programme schedule for the January 2019 session. The applicants can submit the forms through online mode only at onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/admission. The B.Ed programme offered by IGNOU utilises self-instructional materials and information technology along with interactive personal contact programmes. It is recognised by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). The duration of the B.Ed programme is two years and the medium of instruction in both English and Hindi.
The admission to this programme is on the basis of an entrance test to be conducted in December 2018. The date for the same will be announced shortly. The last date to submit the application form is November 15.
Eligibility criteria:
The applicant should have scored at least 50 per cent marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. Bachelors in engineering or technology with specialisation in science and mathematics with 55 per cent marks or any other qualifications equivalent thereto.

The following categories are eligible to be students of B.Ed (ODL):
(b) (i) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education
(ii) Candidates who have completed an NCTE recognised teacher education programme through face-to-face mode.
The reservation and relaxation of 5 per cent marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates as per the rules of the Central Government. The reservation to Kashmiri migrants and war window candidates will be provided as per the university rules. The forms will be accepted only through the online portal of the University.
